A Brief History

I started Pop and Punk Co in March of 2021 after rediscovering a love for drawing that had been dormant since childhood. I was in a film and video certification program, and took a class focusing on the Adobe Suite, where I learned the basics of Illustrator and began playing around with it a bit more.

First Steps

I began creating designs inspired by the music I like. My first project was drawing a flash sheet based on Taylor Swift's album "Evermore," and ended up making it into stickers. Other artists I was inspired by include Neck Deep, Bring Me The Horizon, and Knuckle Puck.

A New Mission

I enjoyed making stickers, but I've always been pretty fascinated with clothing and graphic tees. I decided I wanted to make my own t-shirts, and began looking into various methods of printing shirts, ultimately landing on screen printing.

Learning to screen print was a bit of a learning curve, but after lots of trial and error, I was able to print my first piece for Pop & Punk Co: the Negativity Tee. With the success of printing this small run of shirts myself, I decided to continue the DIY route for my brand.

DI-Why?

I've decided to stick with the DIY approach to my brand for one main reason: quality control. It is important to me that every item that gets sent out to my customers is something that I would be happy with wearing myself. From print placement to ensuring garment quality before entering a print run, I like to make sure that every single piece is up to my standards.

Aside from quality, I very much enjoy being a part of every process in my business. I love designing, printing, packing, shipping, and promoting for my brand. It helps me keep my brand identity and core values intact.

Thank you for being a part of my journey so far! I am excited to expand Pop and Punk Co to a wider customer base as I continue creating stylish, mindful pieces.
